Kimley-Horn's Pasadena, CA office is seeking a Civil Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with 2+ years of experience to join their Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) team. This is not a remote position.Perform traffic engineering and project management tasks to deliver a wide variety of transportation planning, transit, traffic engineering, complete streets, safety, and intelligent transportation systems (ITS) projects for many, diverse clientsHas an entrepreneurial spirit, creating a vision for growth in their personal practice while contributing to the growth of our well-established transportation practiceAssist with managing their projects profitably and efficientlyEngage in hands-on practice and delivery of projectsTransition work to qualified staffAct as a positive leader and mentorContribute to marketing and business development efforts and have the autonomy to pursue their own passions, leads, and clientsIn addition to strong technical experience, other responsibilities will include research, coordination, project management, staff management, cost estimating, and preparation of bid packages as well as technical specificationsAs a critical member of the team, you will perform a variety of engineering tasks and will receive both on-the-job and formal training as well as mentorship and exposure to plan production, project financials, and client interactions2+ years of civil/traffic engineering experience that could include:Preparing and/or reviewing traffic impact studies for small and large projectsPreparing parking, site access, and circulation studiesPreparing grading, utility, drainage, erosion control plansBachelors or Masters from an ABET accredited university in the field of Civil Engineering"Engineer-In-Training" or "Engineering Intern" certification (or ability to obtain within 12 months)Experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D, Synchro, or other civil and traffic analysis software applicationsCommunicating technical thoughts clearly and conciselyExcellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skillsDetail-oriented with an ability to contribute to a positive work environmentAbility to work independently and as a teamSalary Range:$85,000 - $115,000At Kimley-Horn, we do things differently.
