DevOps Engineer

Software Developer ConsultantA leading biotech company is seeking a software developer as a consultant to produce and implement functional software solutions. You will work with business analysts and upper management to define software technical requirements and take the lead on operational and technical projects.Responsibilities:Develop and configure high-quality software business workflows on regulatory information management software.Identify, prioritize, and execute tasks in the software development life cycle.Provide technical support across the company (users are distributed throughout the world).Provide assistance to testers and support personnel as needed to resolve system problems.Perform API design or modify existing API code to integrate with other systems.Design, develop, and implement unit and scenario testing for existing code base and for new functionality under development.Will be responsible for planning, developing, and writing documentation of design and deployment processes, workflows, and results with little guidance.Must be willing to follow good documentation practice followed at GxP regulated industry and document the work properly for future reference.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or related area, and/or equivalent combination of experience/training.Has worked on design patterns, development best practices, and DevOps trade-offs.Worked on high scalability projects involving cloud-based infrastructure design and implementation (experience with Veeva Cloud administration is plus but not necessary).Deep understanding of distributed data model.Experience writing SQL queries for relational database is required.Familiarity with client server architecture and basic knowledge of web security, application security, web services security, common vulnerability remediation, certificate management.Good understanding of web services protocols such as REST, SOAP, and API design for extensibility and portability.Having an in-depth understanding of regulatory system or business workflows of supply chain is plus but not desired.
