On Call Banquet Server - AC Hotel Portsmouth

AC Hotel Portsmouth, a Colwen Hotels Property, is in search of friendly and professional On Call Banquet Servers to join our team. In this role you will be responsible for providing smooth and efficient food service to guests during events.General Responsibilities:Ensure banquet rooms are set according to banquet event orders and management specificationsAcknowledge and welcome each guest with a smile, eye contact, and a friendly greeting (use guest name whenever possible)Take orders from guests and deliver to appropriate person to executeReview and understand event plan at beginning of each shiftMaintain knowledge of all menu items and compositionDelivers food, beverages, condiments and other requested itemsEnsure that food is prepared correctly and to the guest's satisfaction; return incorrect or improperly cooked items to the kitchenCollect plates and clear table as guests finish their mealAdhere to all applicable Colwen and brand standards for food and beverage service and compliance with state liquor policiesClean designated areas in accordance with defined proceduresEnsure sideboards are adequately stockedSet tables to standards, and that all items are clean and in good repairAssist with other restaurant tasks such as cleaning the dining area and preparing silverware and condimentsPerform other related duties as assignedRequirements:Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, ability to solve problemsPrevious server experience preferredAbility to operate point-of-sale systemAbility to work quickly and efficientlyOrganizational and time management skillsAbility to work with a teamAbility to maintain personal hygieneMust be able to lift, balance and carry trays of food weighing up to 25 poundsAbility to work varied hours, including nights, weekends and holidaysWe've got you covered: Benefits & PerksEmployee Assistance ProgramsHotel Discount Travel Program for Associates & FamilyExclusive Associate Discounts - Travel, Entertainment, & RetailTraining and Development ProgramsCareer Advancement OpportunitiesColwen Hotels is an equal opportunity employer.
