Description:
POSITION SUMMARY
The Aircraft Maintenance Mechanic will repair and performs removal/installation, cleaning, inspection, repair as well as replace Power Plant systems components and accessories. All work is performed in accordance with FAA regulations, applicable manufacturer maintenance manuals, company directives and other approved data.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Inspect completed work to ensure that it meets performance standards
Keep records of maintenance and repair work
Ability to read and interpret manuals, diagrams, and work cards
Possess own tools applicable to performing job
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
Must comply with all safety procedures and specifications
Requirements:
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Education:
Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent required
Power plant license preferred
Experience:
2 years of experience as a jet engine technician – preferred
Power plant license preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Must be able to read, write and understand English as this is a FAA requirement
Working Conditions / Environment / Special Requirements
Ability to work in a safe professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirements including, OSHA, EPA, FAA, DOT, and State and Federal regulations.
As required by the position, must have the ability to wear a respirator as per OSHA 29 CFR 1910.134 "Respirator Protection" regulations with no restrictions that would prevent the proper use and/or seal of the respirator.
Ability to work flexible hours and different shifts if required
Employees will be subject to the random drug and alcohol testing under FAA regulations
