This position is responsible for the visual and functional inspection of completed units for conformance to design and Komatsu America Corp., quality standards.Key job responsibilities include:Inspects and tests completed units using a variety of electronic and mechanical measuring instruments against engineering standards and build ordersCompletes necessary paperwork to document inspection results and reports to appropriate personsCommunicates with and travels to customer and vendor sites as directed by QA or NMO managementAssists in developing and improving inspection standards for current and new modelsPerforms other duties as assignedQualifications/requirements:High school degree or equivalentPrevious 1 year mechanical or inspection experienceMust be proficient in shop mathematics and computer literateMust pass color blindness testAbility to work with othersAccuracy and attention to detail are requiredMust project a cooperative and positive attitude toward customers, employees and the companyMust comply with all environmental, quality and safety rules, practices and standardsSome standing, kneeling, stooping, reaching, pulling, pushing and lifting requiredForklift certification preferredAdditional information:Diversity & inclusion commitment at Komatsu: We come from diverse backgrounds, with unique perspectives, experiences, and contributions.
