Medical Technologist (MT/MLS/CLS)

Job DescriptionA well-established, 200-bed acute care hospital in the Kansas City metro area is seeking a Medical Technologist (ASCP) to join its laboratory team. This full-service community hospital provides advanced medical services for adults and pediatric patients and is recognized for excellence in cancer care, women's services, robotic surgery, and rehabilitation.ResponsibilitiesPerforming waived, moderate, and high-complexity testing on blood and body fluids in accordance with CLIA regulationsExecuting pre-analytic, analytic, and post-analytic testing processesInvestigating and resolving unexpected or abnormal resultsMaintaining quality control and quality assurance standardsManaging inventory of reagents and suppliesMaintaining laboratory equipment (refrigerators, freezers, centrifuges, etc.)Participating in performance improvement initiativesAssisting with training and mentoring laboratory staff and studentsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related scienceASCP certification (MT/MLS) or equivalent requiredMinimum 1+ year recent Blood Bank experience in an acute care hospital settingStrong understanding of CLIA standards and laboratory complianceAbility to work independently in a fast-paced environmentWhy Join?Stable, established acute care hospital environmentAdvanced laboratory services and technologySupportive leadership and collaborative medical staffCompetitive compensation + shift differentialsComprehensive benefits packageAdditional InformationInterested?
