Join the BEST of the BEST at our flagship Houston location today.The Role: Expert Perioperative CareThis position is responsible for providing expert perioperative patient care through the use of specialized equipment and instrumentation. You will function as a scrub assistant to the physician performing complex operative and/or invasive cardiovascular procedures. Working under the direction of a Registered Nurse, you will use your expertise to act as a role model and resource for other staff.Key Responsibilities:Specialized Scrub Support: Perform independently as a first scrub in assigned cardiovascular specialty areas (Open Heart).Case Readiness: Verify functioning and availability of supplies, instruments, and equipment prior to procedures based on surgeon preference cards.Clinical Excellence: Demonstrate expert application of the principles of asepsis to provide optimal patient care.Unit Flow: Provide support for the readiness and flow of cases to facilitate the overall functioning of the HVI unit.Professional Growth: Support department-based goals and serve as a mentor to less experienced staff.Minimum Qualifications:Education: Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist Program.License/Certification: Current Certification as a Surgical Technologist by the NBSTSA or NCCT.Certified in: Basic Life Support (BLS).Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of CVOR (Open Heart) experience as a surgical technologist is required.Clinical Skills: Demonstrated ability to perform independently as a first scrub in an acute care setting.Compensation & Premier BenefitsWe offer a competitive salary structure that rewards clinical expertise and experience.Salary Range: $54,300 $83,300 (Dependent on experience level I, II, or III).Incentives: Potential for Sign-on Bonuses and Night Shift Differentials (discussed during the interview process).Health: Comprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage starting Day One.Retirement: 403(b) plan with a 100% match up to 6%.Education: Tuition Reimbursement and Student Loan Repayment programs.Market Adjustments: Salaries are assessed and adjusted annually to remain competitive with the healthcare market.
