Speech-Language Pathologist
Job Summary:Plans, conducts, and evaluates medically directed speech/hearing programs for assigned patients designed to restore or develop patients’ communication skills and/or hearing skills. In doing so, assesses patients with functional and organic speech/hearing disorders, develops treatment programs, and modifies treatment in accordance with patient progress. Instructs patients and families in rehabilitative speech/hearing practices, monitors patients’ progress, and maintains clinical records according to established procedures.Minimal Acceptable Job Qualifications:Licensure: Has certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech, Hearing, and Language Association or be a Clinical Fellow working toward above certification; holds a current state license, requiredEducation: Masters Degree in Speech Pathology from a PSB accredited university, requiredOther: Current BLS certification within 7 days of hire and remain current, required
