The Project Superintendent will oversee construction of the project in the field, providing leadership to field foremen, and ensure successful completion of trade work. The Superintendent will also work closely with the Project Manager to ensure timely and quality completion of construction process.ResponsibilitiesAssist Project Manager in development of Chart of AccountsAssist in development of detailed CPM ScheduleAssist in development of Detailed Scope of WorkDevelop a project site logistics planMaintain a thorough understanding of contract documentsManage McCarthy’s labor force to achieve optimum performanceReview and understand material budgets and negotiate purchase ordersReview and understand equipment budgets and negotiate rental ratesMonitor project costs and identify areas for improvementProvide leadership in quality processProvide leadership in the safety and accident prevention programsDocument daily construction activitiesChair weekly subcontractor coordination meetingsIssue and maintain short term and CPM schedulesAssist Project Engineers in Shop Drawing and Submittal processVerify that As-Built drawings are kept currentQualifications5+ Years of building experience on highly complex and related commercial, healthcare, industrial, or related construction projectsPrevious Superintendent experience directing and coordinating tradesKnowledge of construction principles/practices requiredPrevious experience working with Project Management team for successful completion of project Self-perform background preferredMcCarthy is proud to be an equal opportunity employer, including disability and protected veteran status.NOTICE TO EXTERNAL SEARCH FIRMS: McCarthy’s Talent Acquisition Team is the only authorized representative permitted to engage with external search firms, staffing agencies, or other third-party recruiting partners.
