Sales Director

SUMMARY The Regional Director of Hotel Sales is a senior leadership role responsible for driving revenue performance across a portfolio of branded hotel properties within the Alabama market. This role serves as the strategic architect of sales initiatives, partnering closely with on-property General Managers, Directors of Sales, and corporate leadership to maximize revenue, market share, and overall profitability. The ideal candidate is a dynamic, results-oriented sales leader with deep hospitality experience, a proven track record of exceeding revenue goals, and the ability to cultivate high-performing sales teams across multiple properties. RESPONSIBILITIES Develop and execute regional sales strategies aligned with corporate and ownership objectives, including annual budgets, ADR targets, RevPAR benchmarks, and segment goals. Lead, coach, and develop Directors of Sales and Sales Managers across multiple properties, fostering a high-performing, data-driven, and proactive sales culture. Drive total revenue management across all streams—rooms, F&B, events, and ancillary services—while analyzing market trends, competitive performance, and pace reports to optimize strategy in real time. Build and maintain relationships with key corporate, group, government, and extended-stay accounts, while identifying new business opportunities within the portfolio. Oversee inventory, vendor relations, and operational processes to support profitability and efficiency. Monitor and report on KPIs (RevPAR, ADR, occupancy, group pace, lead volume, conversion rates) and present regular updates to executive leadership. Serve as the primary liaison with brand organizations to ensure competitive positioning, maximize brand-sourced revenue, and maintain compliance with brand standards and loyalty programs. Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, CVBs, and community networking opportunities. QUALIFICATIONS 7+ years of hotel management experience, with 5+ years in regional or multi-property sales leadership roles. Proven track record of improving RevPAR, ADR, and overall revenue contribution. Experience with branded hotel environments, including select-service, full-service, or extended-stay properties. Proficiency with sales and revenue tools (STR, Delphi, Salesforce, Opera, or equivalent PMS/CRM platforms). Strong financial acumen; ability to analyze P&L statements, revenue reports, and pace/pickup data. Exceptional interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills. Willingness to travel frequently state-wide (Alabama) to visit venues across the portfolio (40–60% travel estimated). Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred (equivalent experience considered).
