Specifications are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job.Job title: Lead PsychotherapistReports to: Regional Vice PresidentSupervisory Responsibilities: YesJob SummaryOur mental health services program is comprised of a multi-disciplinary team of counselors, social workers, and marriage and family therapists who work closely with clients and families to assess their treatment needs and design a treatment program to ensure progress and success to meeting identified treatment goals. Our therapists use individualized, person-centered approaches to treatment as well as evidence-based practices. We see clients in the community, home, and office settings to support elimination of barriers and offer individualized support throughout the treatment process.Duties and ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the daily operations and case assignments of the location and staff they overseeSupervise and manage staff, including Psychotherapists, Targeted Case Managers and Community Support Associates and interns.Ensure that all communications with staff are smooth and constructive to the development of the entity/affiliateLead monthly All-Staff meetings.Resolve conflicts as necessary or direct conflict and resolution to the Regional VP/ Operations ManagerDemonstrate leadership skills that are commensurate with the job requirements to manage patients, staff, families and, including times when conflict may existDemonstrate a high level of engagement in company culture (i.e., a "culture champion"), including but not limited to robust understanding of Cultivate's Mission and CultureCollaborate regularly with other leads to ensure consistency in practice management and culture.Discuss and share experiences to enhance the professional development of all clinicians.Establish caseload assignments for the Therapists, Case Managers and Community Support Associates.Strive to ensure that the clinic is clean, maintained, fully stocked with all necessities, and remains within monthly budgetReview Treatment Plans and complete progress note approvals and provide feedback to clinicians/staff prior to submission to insurance providers:Understand insurance requirements and communicate and educate other staff regarding the requirementsEnsure all documentation is completed timely and accurately including but not limited to:Clinical/Billable notesTreatment plansIntake paperworkAssessmentsUtilize an open-door policy for staff to encourage collaboration, high performance, trust, and respectConduct progress and performance reviews for staff, at least annuallyCollaborate with the Training Coordinator to:Identify and develop additional training opportunities that benefit the teamEnsure that new hires receive timely and complete onboardingProvide input and assistance for communications with outside professionalsUnderstand and adhere to HIPAA policiesResponsible for office budget goals and KPI's.Provide mental health treatment services to clients of all ages, with a variety of mental health needsComplete assessments and diagnose clientsDevelop and modify treatment plans in order to support the client through the treatment process, as mandated by Kentucky Medicaid and Kentucky state regulationsCollaborate with other team members to ensure best practices in treatmentComplete documents in a timely manner, as indicated by Kentucky Medicaid and Kentucky state regulationsDocument sessions via progress notesMust be ready and available to work during regular business hoursAdheres to Cultivate policies and proceduresPerforms other duties as assignedQualifications* Minimum of a Master's degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or a related field* Must possess an active independent license to practice counseling or social work in the state of Kentucky.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Proven managerial and leadership skillsExcellent interpersonal communication skills with the ability to actively listenSolid relationship-building capabilitiesA positive and compassionate attitudeKeen attention to detailAbility to effectively manage time and prioritize needsWillingness to stay updated on new treatments, protocols, and licensure requirements within the fieldPassion for advancing the therapy fieldAbility to work independently or as part of a team
