Head of Developer Ecosystem

Role MissionYour mission is to establish our company’s 3D generative AI as the go-to secret weapon in every Technical Artist’s toolkit. You will empower TAs across AAA studios, mid-sized developers, and independent creators to eliminate repetitive, low-value production work through automation — freeing them to focus on craft and creativity. You will serve as the critical bridge between cutting-edge AI research and the real-world demands of production-grade 3D pipelines.About the RoleCore Focus: Technical Art (TA) & Developer Relations (DevRel)Location: North America (Remote / Preference for Los Angeles, San Francisco, and other major tech hubs)ResponsibilitiesBuild and Scale the TA Community: Architect and grow a high-engagement developer community from the ground up (Discord/GitHub), fostering a culture where Technical Artists actively share custom scripts, plugins, and AI-driven workflows.Pipeline Integration: Personally develop and maintain reference-quality integrations for Blender, Unreal Engine (Blueprints/C++), Unity, and Houdini, setting the standard for how our API slots into professional production environments.Production-Ready Demonstrations: Create technically rigorous demos that prove our AI output meets industry standards — with particular emphasis on topology quality, UV unwrapping, and PBR material mapping suitable for real-time and cinematic pipelines.Industry Presence: Be where Technical Artists are. Present at GDC, SIGGRAPH, and regional IGDA chapters. Author in-depth technical content that addresses genuine pipeline inefficiencies and resonates with practitioners.Product Co-Development: Act as the AI first and most demanding customer. Conduct rigorous stress-testing of our SDK/API and deliver substantive, production-informed feedback to the R&D team on mesh density, rig-ability, and inference performance. QualificationsFull-Stack Technical Artist: 5+ years of hands-on 3D production experience, with the ability to communicate fluently in both artistic and engineering terms.Pipeline Architect: Deep, working knowledge of USD (Universal Scene Description), FBX/glTF workflows, and the full asset journey from generative output to real-time rendering engines.Proficient Developer: Strong command of Python as a core TA scripting language. Experience with C# (Unity) or C++ (Unreal Engine) is a significant advantage.Generative AI Practitioner: You go beyond casual AI usage — you understand prompt engineering, the nuances of latent space manipulation, and, critically, why clean mesh topology matters far more to a production pipeline than a visually appealing render.Community-Oriented: You are genuinely motivated by helping others solve hard problems. You have likely shipped plugins on GitHub or shared tools via Gumroad, ArtStation, or similar platforms.
