Job Title: Cashier Job Summary:We are seeking a reliable and efficient Cashier to join our refinery-based team. This position primarily focuses on fast, accurate point-of-sale (POS) transactions while maintaining excellent customer service in a high-traffic, industrial environment. The role also requires flexibility to assist with deli operations, food preparation, stocking, and maintaining cleanliness standards.Key Responsibilities:Operate POS systems efficiently and accurately, handling cash, card, and digital paymentsProvide fast, friendly, and professional customer service to refinery employees and visitorsMaintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked checkout and sales areaRestock shelves, coolers, and merchandise as neededMonitor inventory levels and report low-stock itemsDeli Support Duties (as needed):Assist with basic food preparation (sandwiches, hot items, etc.)Follow food safety and sanitation guidelinesServe food items quickly and accurately during busy periodsMaintain cleanliness of deli equipment and food prep areasQualifications:Previous cashier or retail experience preferredExperience with POS systems and cash handlingAbility to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environmentStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsWillingness to cross-train and assist in deli operationsBasic understanding of food safety practices (or willingness to learn)Work Environment:Fast-paced refinery setting with high customer volume during peak hoursMay require standing for extended periodsExposure to both retail and food service environmentsMust follow all site safety policies and proceduresKey Skills:Speed and accuracy with transactionsCustomer service and communicationMultitasking and adaptabilityReliability and teamwork
