Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Press Brake Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating press brake machines to bend and shape sheet metal components with precision and efficiency. This role requires a strong understanding of fabrication processes, blueprint reading, and safety protocols to ensure high-quality production standards. The Press Brake Operator will play a vital part in the manufacturing process, contributing to the creation of complex metal parts used across various industries.
Responsibilities
Set up and operate press brake machines to bend sheet metal according to detailed blueprints and specifications.
Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to determine machine settings and tooling requirements.
Conduct quality inspections of finished products using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers.
Adjust machine parameters to achieve precise angles, dimensions, and tolerances using tools such as calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments.
Meet daily production requirements/goals in a sheet metal fab shop
Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibration of press brake equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless workflow and adherence to project timelines.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment while following all safety procedures related to machinery operation, and handling sheet metal materials.
Qualifications
Proven experience operating press brake machines in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in CNC programming and other machining processes is highly desirable.
Ability to read blueprints accurately and interpret GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
Proficiency in using hand tools such as calipers, micrometers, precision measuring instruments, and basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication techniques including tooling setup, assembly, and quality inspection standards.
Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality control in manufacturing processes.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards. Work Experience:
1-year minimum verifiable work experience in a similar position
Most recent employment in a similar position with separation on good terms
Employment Type/ Hours: Full Time / 40hrs / 4x10
Day Shift: Monday – Thursday 6:00-4:30pm. Overtime as needed.
