Flight Sciences Structural Loads and Dynamics Engineer

Basic QualificationsBachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering or related STEM discipline.Demonstrated application with statics, dynamics, fluid mechanics, or aerodynamicsDemonstrated application in supporting Flight TestDemonstrated application in structural testing, FEA, or data analysis (MATLAB, Python)Experience interfacing with DoD Customers and suppliers.Must be a U.S. Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.Job DescriptionWe are Lockheed MartinCandidate will work within a small team of Structural Discipline Engineers in the pursuit of F-35 Envelope Expansion and Flight Sciences Weapons Integration. Candidate will integrate and test various weapon systems onto aircraft platforms, including the development of system design, testing, and certification plans. Candidate will provide technical expertise in the development and testing of loads analysis, conducting pre-flight load predictions across all flight phases. Candidates will develop and maintain technical documentation, including defining test plans and monitoring data during flight tests to evaluate structural performance. Candidate will be responsible for tracking instrumentation sensor placement, repairs, and troubleshooting, such as strain gauges and accelerometers and ensure test campaigns meet safety protocols and airworthiness regulations.**Must be a US Citizen.
