Contract Software Test Engineer - Python

9-12 month software testing assignment. Fully onsite. Need someone with experience testing and some development (more test) of bare metal C code, using python scripts for both automated testing and manual testing, experience with standard test equipment. Day-to-day activities: Testing C code (any development needed), writing test cases & procedures, executing test cases, creating automated scripts, investigating root cause within embedded C code. Python-based project expertise CAN, SPI, I2C, & RS232 familiarity Experience and comfort working with standard test equipment (power supplies, DAQs, function generators, etc), and higher voltage electronics (270VDC or 115VAC) Comfortable reading electrical schematics, documentation, and datasheets Experience modifying/building harnesses and other test fixtures Embedded C proficient Embedded Software-testing mastery Perform software analyses such as worst-case timing, memory margin, structural coverage, data coupling, and control coupling Nice to Have: Labview PCAN Explorer or equivalent CAN Network Analyzing software F28335 Processor Experience NI DAQ Experience DO-178 Knowledge Experience working with GUI Testing Tools such as Squish or equivalent Git/GitHub: Strong understanding of software configuration management and contemporary software build, integration, test, and deployment methodologies Python based GUI experience: Tkinter/QT preferred Hardware/Software Integration Experience Vim/Reg-Expressions or text-based tools for processing data Experience working with mechatronics Pay: $75.00 - $80.00 per hour Benefits: Dental insurance Health insurance Vision insurance Application Question(s): Are you a US Citizen?
