Mechanical Design Engineer - Marine ProductsLocation: Edgewater, FL (or similar coastal manufacturing location)Department: EngineeringEmployment Type: Full-TimeOverviewWe are seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Design Engineer to join our growing marine engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, development, and continuous improvement of high-performance recreational boats. You will work cross-functionally with manufacturing, supply chain, and quality teams to deliver innovative, reliable, and manufacturable products.This position requires strong expertise in 3D CAD design, particularly Siemens NX, and a passion for hands-on product development in a fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop mechanical systems and structural components for marine vessels using Siemens NXCreate 3D models, assemblies, and detailed engineering drawings to support productionCollaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, tooling, and vendors to optimize designs for manufacturability and costConduct engineering analysis, including tolerance stack-ups, structural considerations, and material selectionSupport prototype builds, testing, and validation effortsDrive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product performance, durability, and qualityManage engineering changes, documentation, and revision controlEnsure compliance with applicable marine standards and safety regulationsRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline2-5+ years of experience in mechanical design (marine, automotive, aerospace, or similar industries preferred)Proficiency in Siemens NX (NX CAD) for solid modeling and draftingStrong understanding of mechanical systems, materials, and manufacturing processes (composites experience is a plus)Experience working with product lifecycle management (PLM) systemsAbility to interpret and create detailed engineering drawings and GD&TExcellent problem-solving and analytical skillsStrong communication and teamwork abilitiesPreferred QualificationsExperience in boat design, marine systems, or recreational vehiclesFamiliarity with composites, fiberglass construction, or marine structural designKnowledge of FEA or simulation toolsHands-on experience with prototype builds or testingUnderstanding of electrical/mechanical integration in marine environmentsJob Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Edgewater, FL.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $55.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
