Work involves tasks such as removing debris, washing windows, cleaning lobbies, decks, and stairways and assisting parking guests with entering, exiting and navigating the ramps, including during special events. This is a part-time role, primarily working independently during evenings and weekends, under the moderate supervision of the Parking Utility Manager. This will be a temporary position running June to early September.
Examples Of Duties- Removes any paper, glass or other debris in the parking ramps. - Uses brooms, mops or similar equipment to clean parking ramp floors. - Cleans the lobbies, stairways, elevators and other high-traffic areas. - Washes the interior and exterior windows of the parking ramps. - Provides customer assistance to parking guests at ramp entrances and exits, including navigation help as needed. - Cashiers and collects funds during special events. - Monitors facilities and reports damage or prohibited activities such as vandalism to parking staff or local authorities. - Maintains regular punctual and predictable attendance, works overtime and extra hours as required. - Works independently during daytime weekend hours.
Typical QualificationsA limited amount of custodial or customer service experience; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the following knowledge, abilities and skills: - Knowledge of basic custodial methods and procedures. - Strong communication skills - Ability to work independently and responsibly during off-hours. - Ability to understand and follow simple, oral and written instructions. - Ability to withstand a variety of temperatures and adverse weather conditions. - Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and the public, and to deal with the public in a courteous and tactful manner. - Ability to lift 30 pounds. - Ability to climb, bend, reach and turn. - Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
