In-House Counsel (Carlsbad)

Looking for a LOCAL San Diego-area in-house counsel/legal operations type resource for a client in Carlsbad.This is an onsite role (roughly 4 days/week, 5–7 hours/day) and they need someone highly responsive, proactive, and organized. Turnaround expectations are FAST — often same day, max 24 hours on many items.This is NOT a passive advisory-type legal role.They need someone who will:Heavily review/edit/fix contracts (not just "advise" on them)Stay on top of deadlines, timelines, and deliverablesKeep board meetings organized and movingEnsure SEC timelines/documentation stay on trackCoordinate calendars/reminders/follow-ups with executivesWork closely with the VP of Finance, CFO, and business leadershipProactively identify issues before they become problemsOperate with urgency and accountabilityThis person needs to become a true extension of the business and a top priority partner — not someone juggling 4–5 other clients where this becomes secondary work.Previous in-house counsel experience is strongly preferred.Also respectfully: I'm not looking for staffing firms or outsourced legal companies pitching services.
