Logistics Assistant Manager (2nd Shift)

Production Control Assistant Manager (Material Planner)Reports to: Production Control ManagerDepartment: Production ControlSalary: Commensurate with ExperienceSummary: Check material requirement to meet seat production plan and compare with on hand inventory and in transit status. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Duties and ResponsibilitiesEssential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to those listed below:Establishment of KD/LP material plan.Maintain appropriate material inventory.Seat production plan analysis and check material coverage.Verify that the physical and computerized receiving quantities match.Manage suppliers` material lead time so that seat production schedule would not be interrupted.Maintain appropriate product inventory.Customer production plan analysis and progress management.Communicate and deal with customers to meet their requirements.Support TGPS or SAP for any issues or new implementation of SAP MM module (Material Management system).Support and adhere to 5S to keep work site clean and orderly consistently improving appearance of the team's area. Active in following 5S—Sort, Set, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain organization of work area.Collaborate with Team Members, Team Leaders, Group Leaders and/or other members of Hyundai Transys to be active contributors to the team.Follow requirements of Quality policies and standards, such as, ISO 9001, TS16949, IATF16949Attending all required training as assigned.Comply with and promote company practices and policies in all areas including Safety, Standards of Conduct, Quality, Performance, and Communication.Be flexible in work to support continuous improvement activities that will ensure personal and company growth.Other duties as assigned.Physical Demands/Working ConditionsThe physical demands described here are representative of those to be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Regularly required to talk and hear.Frequently required to sit, stand, bend at the knees and waist, and walk.Must be able to lift, push, pull up to 25 pounds on a regular basis.Required to bend at the knees and waist.Required to use hands to type, handle objects, boxes, equipment, tools and paperwork.Required to raise arms overhead to work, reach, and carry.Required to use close vision, peripheral vision, focus and see colors as required to read equipment and material labels, color-coded inventory, computer terminal screens, etc.Will be required to wear safety Personal Protective Equipment for eyes, face, head, feet, hearing, hands, and arms.Ability to work extended hours, overtime and/or weekends as required.Ability to travel domestic US and/or international if needed.The employee generally works in warehouse and indoor office environments but occasionally works outside, in all types of weather and on uneven terrain.Technical Skills RequiredMust have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to deal with all suppliers.Must have excellent multitasking skills.Must have strong ability to quickly prioritize situations and mitigate all issues.Proficient skills in math, reading and writing.Excellent organizational and time-management skillsMust have strong computer skills – Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and SAPStrong SAP experience required.EducationAssociate or Bachelor's degree in Production Control, Supply Chain Management, or Logistics preferred.Work ExperienceAt least 5yrs + progressive experience in the Production/Material Control field in a manufacturing environment preferably within the automotive industry, or equivalent experienceBilingual (Korean/English)
