Unleash your talent and redefine what’s possible.Job DescriptionWe are seeking experienced Traffic Incident Management Support Specialists to join our team in Georgia and help improve roadway safety, incident response, and traffic operations across the region.In this role, you will support field-based traffic incident management activities, coordinate with emergency responders and transportation partners, and help restore traffic flow safely and efficiently during incidents, special events, and work zones. This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong background in emergency response, traffic operations, or public safety who wants to make a direct impact in the field.This role would require you be local to the Georgia area – statewide. Will require state day and/or overnight travel and in-office team collaboration meetingsKey ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain solid working relationships with all field responder agencies, DOT officials, and other industry stakeholdersLead and support traffic incident management operations during roadway incidents, planned events, and work zonesCoordinate with Traffic Management Center staff, law enforcement, fire/EMS, towing and recovery, and other partnersSupport response, lane closure, detour, and clearance strategies to improve safety and mobilityManage field-based TIM projects, including planning, execution, reporting, and closeoutDeliver training, tabletop exercises, and field drills for incident respondersTrack and analyze operational data, including response and clearance timesReview, analyze, and develop SOP/SOG updates for incident responsePromote work zone safety, responder safety, and compliance with agency standardsAssist and provide support services for the Statewide Traffic Incident Management Enhancement initiatives, to include daily operations, planning of events, and industry speakersRequired QualificationsAssociate's Degree in Business Administration (or equivalent)Typically, 5+ years of related work experience in an administrative capacity, including at least 1+ years of experience in proposal coordination and production, is required.Experience in emergency response, public safety, safety service patrol, or wrecker fleet operationsStrong written and verbal communication skillsExperience developing and delivering trainingProficiency with Outlook, Word, Excel, and presentation tools such as PowerPointPreferred QualificationsTowing or first responder experienceFHWA TIM Responder Training; Train-the-Trainer is a plusExperience with Traffic Management Centers or Regional Operations CentersFamiliarity with ITS, ATMS/ATIS, CAD integration, AVL, and incident management toolsProject management training or certification programSecurity Clearance RequirementNoneThis position is part of our Critical Infrastructure team.For more than 80 years, our experts have designed and delivered the critical infrastructure that connects and protects communities around the world.
