Tax Supervisor

Job Title: Tax SupervisorDepartment: TaxLocation: Remote or HybridSuccessful candidates should have the following:4+ years of tax and public accounting experiencePossess a broad understanding of Tax Law with specialized knowledge in a particular area(s) of HNW individuals, partnerships, LLCs, trusts, taxation of pass-throughs, non-profit experience, estate and gift tax, investment advisory, and financial planningAbility to prepare working trial balance and year-end adjusting entriesExcellent skills, analytical, organizational, and written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated ability to utilize Excel, Word, and CCH AxcessOutstanding leadership, mentoring, and interpersonal skills, fostering client and staff relationshipsEducational Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or other business-related fieldsA CPA certification is requiredA day-in-the-life basic overview includes:Review multistate and federal tax returns for high-net-worth individuals, partnerships, joint ventures, and non-corporate entities. This includes combined state tax returns and ensuring compliance with tax regulationsManage and develop client relationships for income tax and financial planningCollaborate with tax partners and other staff on client management, practice development, and business development activitiesCommunicate regularly with clients to manage expectations, ensure they are satisfied with the service, meet deadlines, and lead change efforts effectivelyConsult and collaborate with clients to recommend business and process improvement strategies and act as a business advisorSupervise and oversee multiple engagements in partnership, trusts, estate, gift, and individual taxation to ensure their successPrepare year-end projections and research various tax issuesMentor senior associates and staff and guide them on complex tax issuesBenefits: G|S offers market-leading benefits, including medical/dental/vision insurance, a profit-sharing plan, parental leave, and a 401(k) match plan. The specific compensation for this role will be determined based on the market demand, education, experience, and skill set of the individual selected for this position.The compensation above is not representative of an employee's total compensation.
