Database Developer – Federal Data Platform Location: Washington, DC Metro – Hybrid Employment: Full-Time W-2 Requirements: U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a Public Trust - No C2C or Third Parties Seeking a Database Developer to support a federal agency's enterprise data platform. This role will own SQL queries, stored procedures, views, logical data models, and database components while helping ensure data is accurate, scalable, and high performing. Key Responsibilities Develop SQL queries, stored procedures, and views using Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL Work with DynamoDB, Amazon S3, and Apache Iceberg Design logical data models and database schemas Perform query tuning, data loading, and database connectivity Build and maintain reliable, auditable database components Automate data loads, validations, and manual processes Required Qualifications 4+ years of database development experience Bachelor's degree Strong SQL and PostgreSQL/Aurora experience Experience with stored procedures, views, and query optimization Experience with DynamoDB, S3, and Apache Iceberg Knowledge of ODBC/JDBC, data loading, and logical data modeling U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a Public Trust Preferred Experience with Apache Ranger Federal IT or high-volume transaction environments Physical database design experience Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools Benefits Includes employer-paid employee medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k) match up to 4%, unlimited PTO, disability and life insurance, and sponsored certifications and continuing education.
