Technical Service Support - PLC

Job Description We are seeking a Technical Service Support with PLC experience to join an awesome company in Racine for a direct hire. Pay: $75,000 - 100,000 Description: This position works with customers to resolve problems and thrives in a collaborative environment while maintaining high-quality standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Support customer inquiries via phone / email using technical troubleshooting techniques and offering solutions for water treatment products Train and demonstrate equipment to internal and external customers and technical support staff (in-house, at customer locations or virtual) Perform field start-up of water treatment equipment on site at customer locations Prepare and deliver quotations for replacement parts for customers Participation in product development projects & documentation to improve product quality based on customer feedback Collaborate with team members across the organization in Engineering, Sales, Operations, etc. to resolve customer issues Interpret P&IDs, engineering drawings, BOMs, electrical schematics, ladder logic, and technical data for accurate customer support of field questions and solutions Identify and document non-conformances and root causes of field related customer issues and implement solutions or corrective actions where appropriate Maintain product knowledge and apply this understanding to provide unique and custom solutions Interface with the ERP systems (NetSuite) to execute transactions and activities Occasional hands-on assembly or disassembly of product for analysis Adhere to company procedures and directives for a consistent approach to quality & support Education and Experience High school graduate or GED equivalent required. 5+ years of technical service working directly with customers or related experience in the water treatment equipment industry, preferred. Familiarity with water industry components from such manufacturers as: Fleck/Pentair, Clack, Aquamatic, Allen-Bradley, HACH, Grundfos, Goulds, GF Signet, major ion exchange resin & RO membrane manufacturers, a plus. Familiarity with Residential and Commercial water treatment applications and equipment, a plus. Skills Excellent verbal & written communication skills Positive attitude and a strong work ethic. Ability to troubleshoot water treatment process systems with controls & PLCs. Highly detail oriented, organized, excellent time management skills, and self-motivated Strong continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to not only resolve problems but also develop proactive solutions to prevent future issues.
