Network Engineer

ResponsibilitiesKforce has a client that is seeking a Network Engineer in Westlake, TX.Summary: In this role, you will be responsible for the triaging and troubleshooting of high severity issues that impact external customers. The issues range from network down devices to application slowness, connectivity problems, Storage issues, network blips, etc. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of fundamental networking technologies, network security, software-defined networking, infrastructure as code, extensive experience with at least one CSP.Skills10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, security, and architectureInfrastructure software development and automation skills of PythonShown experience with virtual network and security constructs of AWS and/or AzureExperience with ITSM practices (Change/Incident/Problem)Expertise in cloud networking and security constructs (DMZ)In-depth knowledge of AWS or Azure cloud technologiesProven in-depth knowledge of IP routing, firewalls, load balancers, proxies, and DNSKnowledge of cloud PaaS service integrationAdvocate for and practitioner of infrastructure-as-codePython/Ansible/SDN ProgrammingStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsExcellent oral and written communication skillsCisco CCNA/CCNP/CCSE is desirableNetwork security experience and certifications a plusThe pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role.
