Machine Operator - WarehouseLocation: Monroe, Nearest Major Market: Charlotte
Position operates manufacturing equipment that supplies raw materials to the production line, and/or fills, caps, seals, labels or packages product. Remove damaged product or supplies, as needed. Maintains required product inspection processes. Performs basic troubleshooting and minor repairs to ensure production equipment runs efficiently.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Operate and monitor line, removing or shifting materials and/or finished product as necessary to facilitate proper flow and machine operation
Ensure package and product quality
Operate all manufacturing equipment efficiently and safely
Clean equipment and area during and after shift
Maintain clean work area through good housekeeping practices
Expedite repairs to line; working with maintenance as necessary
Keep daily records of down time and machine operations
Other Duties:
Perform other duties as needed to meet business demands

Minimum Required Qualifications:
Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or GED
Previous experience operating a pallet jack and fork lift.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Basic computer knowledge and skills
Basic English (reading, writing, and verbal)
Intermediate mathematical skills
Working with high-speed production machinery
Troubleshooting basic mechanical systems
Preparing documentation
Reading and using standards of operations
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience working in a Manufacturing environment
Physical Demands:
Position requires lifting/carrying cases weighing between 20-45 pounds repeatedly over 10-12 hour work period.
This position requires walking or standing most of the time during 10-12 hour shift and may include stooping, crawling and crouching over and under conveyors.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee uses his/her hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, or crouch; talk or hear. The employee uses computer and telephone equipment.
Work Environment:
Willing and able to work in a hot/humid, cold and noisy industrial environment
