Account Clerk II
Overview
The purpose of this position is to prepare accounting orders, bills, schedules and records and to prepare various resolutions. The position also maintains financial accountability for the Planning Commission including grant programs.
Essential Functions
Balances and maintains revenue and expense accounts; prepares and maintains all records of bills and invoices; prepares billing schedule for payment of invoices.
Maintains financial records and ledger sheets for grant programs and ensures financial accountability; provides financial information in order to complete reports, grant compliance and grant audits; responds to pay requests in a timely manner; performs site visits and evaluates completion of projects receiving grants funding; coordinates and gathers grant materials and documents.
Maintains Revolving Loan Fund (RLF) financial information; processes monthly payments; completes required reports.
Prepares resolutions and agreements; prepares and mails invoices for various County Services; tracks and records payments; calculates and monitors advances that are needed to cover grant programs and ensures that the appropriate amounts are repaid.
Orders office supplies; assists with ordering furniture, supplies, and equipment; interacts and deals with vendors.
Reports countywide phone problems and schedules repairs with vendor.
Investigates and repairs or refers to computer consultants for repair of all office computer related problems.
Assists in the maintenance of the purchase order ledger; assigns numbers to authorized personnel.
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS
Receives telephone calls and visitors regarding contractor payments for grant projects.
Performs clerical duties as needed.
Participates in records retention.
Consistent and reliable attendance.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED with four to nine months vocational/technical training in office or clerical procedures supplemented by one year of experience in an office or any equivalent combination of education, and experience that provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
Pay: $19.39 - $23.27 per hour
