Product Lighting Engineer

Our New York City showrooms and Brooklyn factory serve as a key hub for the North American market.We are hiring a Product Lighting Engineer. The Product Lighting Engineer will be responsible for the end-to-end design, development, testing, and manufacturability of lighting products and systems. This role combines electrical engineering principles with LED technology to deliver efficient, safe, and high-quality lighting solutions across commercial, residential, and specialty applications.Key Responsibilities:• Design and develop lighting products using CAD tools such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD • Create cutsheets, drawing submittals, and installation drawings • Develop and test prototypes, including photometric and electrical validation • Perform root cause analysis and implement design improvements • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including procurement, production, sales, and overseas partners • Manage technical aspects of small- to mid-scale projects • Ensure compliance with UL and ETL standards and coordinate certification processes • Support manufacturing efforts including material selection, BOM management, and cost optimization • Provide technical support to internal teams and assist with customer issue resolution • Stay current with emerging lighting technologies and contribute to product innovationQualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering • 3–5+ years of experience in lighting product development, with a focus on LED technology • Proficiency in CAD and SolidWorks (2D/3D design and schematics) • Experience working with SAP systems • Strong understanding of circuit design, photometric performance, and testing methods • Familiarity with UL and ETL standards • Hands-on experience with prototyping and electronic testing tools (multimeter, hi-pot tester, etc.) • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills • Excellent communication skills and ability to work across cross-functional teamsCompensation & Benefits:Base Salary: $70,000 – $100,000 (based on experience)Bonus: Management by Objectives (MBO)Benefits include: Medical, dental, and vision coverage 401(k) plan with company matching Paid Time Off
