We have Funded and Immediate openings now!Includes a $10,000 sign-on bonus, $2,000 in reimbursable relcation expenses, plus a $1,200 annual compliance bonus!We offer an excellent benefits package, including PTO, 401k Match at 5%, Profit Sharing, Company paid Life Insurance, Dental, Vision, STD/LTD, and two options under a national medical plan with employer contribution.Position Description:The Software Engineer develops, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems) based upon documented requirements. Works individually or as part of a team. Reviews and tests software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results. Resolves software problem reports. Utilizes software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment. Provides specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components.Level 0:Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirementsDesign and code new software or modifies existing software to add new featuresDebug existing software and corrects defectsIntegrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environmentsDevelop simple data queries for existing or proposed databases or data repositoriesMake recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standardsLevel 1:Develop or implement algorithms to meet or exceed system performance and functional standardsAssist with developing and executing test procedures for software componentsWrite or review software and system documentationDevelop software solutions by analyzing system performance standards, conferring with users or system engineers; analyzing systems flow, data usage and work processes; and investigating problem areasServe as team lead at the level appropriate to the software development process being used on any particular projectModify existing software to correct errors, to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance Design, develop and modify software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of designDesign, develop and modify software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences.of designDesign or implement complex database or data repository interfaces/queries Level 2:Oversees one or more software development teams and ensures the work is completed in accordance with the constraints of the software development-process being used on any particular projectDesign or implement complex algorithms requiring adherence to strict timing, system resource, or interface constraintsPerform quality control on team productsConfer with system engineers and hardware engineers to derive software requirements and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfacesCoordinate software system installation and monitor equipment functioning to ensure operational specifications are metImplement recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards Level 3:Serve as the technical lead of multiple software development teamsSelect the software development process in coordination with the customer and system engineeringRecommend new technologies and processes for complex software projectsEnsure quality control of all developed and modified softwareDelegate programming and testing responsibilities to one or more teams and monitor their performance Required Experience and Qualifications:TS/SCI with a PolygraphExperience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity at the following levels is required:Level 0: No demonstrated experience is required.Level 1: 7 yearsLevel 2: 14 yearsLevel 3: 20 yearsBachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.Four (4) years of additional software engineering experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.Additional contract or position-specific requirements may include:Relevant JAVA programming experience to include at least two years of Java version 1.7+ and development of presentation tiersSpring and JavaScriptJSP and servlet programming experienceJEE and enterprise web application design and developmentDesigning and writing REST-ful applicationsAbility to create and deploy applications in an Apache Tomcat web serverJavaScript presentation libraries such as JQuery, Angular, and extJSWriting Interface Control Documents (ICDs)Microsoft office tools (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)Programming on Linux platformsUsing a revision control application such as: git, Subversion (SYN), CVS, ClearCaseGenerating and documenting design specifications of system-level components in a UML-based tool (e.g. Confluence/GIiffy)Test-driven developmentOracle, PL/SQL, and/or mySQL experienceCreating hierarchical deployments using Linux "yum" including resolving dependencies and creating and managing yum repositories Desired Experience and Qualifications:Knowledge of virtualizationMongoDB, Apache CamelPerl experienceCreating deployment packages using RedHat Package Manager (RPM)Writing software that utilizes SNMP
