Radiologic Technologist
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures to assist in the evaluation and treatment of patients. Working within a Level II Trauma Center, this role requires proficiency in various imaging modalities and a strong understanding of medical terminology and emergency medicine protocols.
Duties
Perform diagnostic imaging procedures including X-rays, CT scans, and nuclear medicine as per physician orders.
Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnostic evaluations.
Maintain patient safety and comfort during imaging procedures while adhering to established protocols.
Utilize advanced medical imaging technology to capture high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
Document patient information and imaging results accurately in electronic health records.
Assist in the training of new staff or students in radiologic techniques and safety practices.
Stay updated with advancements in radiologic technology and participate in continuing education opportunities.
Skills
Strong knowledge of medical terminology relevant to radiology and emergency medicine.
Proficiency in operating various imaging equipment such as CT scanners and sonography machines.
Experience working in an ER setting or within a Level II Trauma Center is highly desirable.
Familiarity with diagnostic evaluation processes and nuclear medicine applications.
Solid understanding of human physiology to enhance patient care and imaging accuracy.
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
