Nursery Sales Representative

About us Little Prince of Oregon Nursery is located in Oregon’s Willamette Valley just south of the Portland metro area. We began in 1997 growing groundcovers and shrubs. Over the past 25 years, our product brands have grown to include succulents, ferns, herbaceous perennials, grasses, rare and unusual perennials, tropicals, and recently a new line of unusual houseplants. Within these brands, we have over 2000 varieties! We are looking for a new office team member. Please see below: Job description Sales Representative Responsibilities: Ability to learn and work in a fast-paced environment Maintain and grow relationships with our existing customers, while developing relationships with new customers Help customers build orders, manage invoices, shipping logistics, print labels Basic plant knowledge is a plus, not required Maintain up-to-date records of customer interactions and orders Work closely with the current office staff to achieve sales goals Flexibility and willingness to work longer hours seasonally Willing to help with other aspects of office responsibilities, as well as in other departments, as needed, during height of the season Team-oriented, with a positive attitude while adhering to the company standards and values Excellent communicator and seeks guidance when needed Self-motivated and able to work with minimal direction once trained Be punctual and reliable Promote a safe work environment while following all safety policies Qualifications: Must work a minimum of 40 hours a week Sales experience in the nursery industry would be preferred Computer savvy, not limited to but including Microsoft Suite English required; bilingual is preferred (English/Spanish) Authorized to work within the US Physical Requirements: Work longer hours as needed, during the spring growing season Work in seasonal temperatures in a greenhouse, including but not limited to hot summer days Lift up to 50 pounds, with potentially long periods of standing, sitting, walking Job Type: Full-time Salary: Starting at $23 per hour, DOE Expected hours: No less than 40 per week Benefits: Simple IRA – up to 3% match by employer Employee discounts Flexible schedule Paid time off Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $23.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40 per week Benefits: Paid time off Retirement plan Schedule: 8 hour shift Day shift Monday to Friday Experience: Horticulture: 1 year (Preferred) Ability to Commute: Aurora, OR 97002 (Required) Work Location: In person
