Assembly Operator IIMicro-Tronics is seeking a detail-oriented Assembly Operator II to join our team. In this role, you will assemble mechanical components using a variety of tools, equipment, and processes while ensuring all products meet quality and safety standards. This position requires the ability to independently set up and run work orders with minimal supervision, perform in-process inspections, and support continuous improvement efforts within the department.Key ResponsibilitiesAssemble components using mechanical fasteners, bonding agents, and adhesives per blueprints and work instructionsSet up and run jobs with minimal supervision, ensuring consistent and repeatable processesVerify kits and materials prior to assembly to ensure accuracyPerform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, indicators, etc.)Identify and document any functional or cosmetic defectsAccurately complete job routers, inspection records, and production tracking in real-time systemsMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in alignment with 5S standardsEnsure proper handling, cleaning, and packaging of finished partsMonitor equipment performance and report any issuesSupport training and mentoring of junior team membersContribute to process improvements and operational efficiency initiativesQualificationsMinimum 2+ years of mechanical assembly experienceExperience using hand tools and precision measurement equipmentAbility to read and interpret blueprints and work instructionsFamiliarity with adhesives and bonding processesStrong attention to detail and ability to identify defectsMechanically inclined with solid problem-solving skillsEducation:High School Diploma or GED requiredSkills & CompetenciesStrong attention to detail and quality focusAbility to troubleshoot and resolve basic assembly issuesEffective communication skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamContinuous improvement mindsetPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the shiftUse of hands and fingers for assembly and inspection tasksAbility to lift and move materials using carts or equipment as neededAbility to wear required PPEBENEFITS:At Micro-Tronics, we recognize how important your career and benefits are to you and your family.
