Production Supervisor - Afternoon Shift
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSLead team meetings communicating quality and production information in addition to general information from other locations/departmentsCoach and counsel crew members in safety, performance, attendance, training, housekeeping/5S, and quality to ensure understanding and compliance of company requirementsEnsure that all production, safety, quality, and information is clearly communicated to all team membersActively participate in accident/injury, including near misses, investigations and resolve any deficiencies, to include engineering controls, employee education, etc.Perform audits in areas of safety, training, and quality to support company needs, and develop countermeasures when necessaryAssist the with company compliance with requirements of TS16949 and other customer mandated certificationsCoordinate work assignments for team membersAdminister proper disciplinary actions when violations occurAssist with materials planning and logisticsReview production data turned in from each operatorProcess payroll and attendance dataAssist in preventive maintenance of equipmentREQUIREMENTSEducation:High School diploma or GED requiredBachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field preferred but not requiredYears of Experience:3+ years manufacturing/production experienceOther Requirements:Glass manufacturing process knowledge preferredMust be willing and able to work all available shiftsRegular and predictable attendance requiredCooperate within teams to carry out tasks and responsibilitiesValid driver's license required for business travelWork beyond the traditional 40 hours per week may be required as work load or projects dictate, including weekends and holidaysKEY COMPETENCIESAdvanced/Intermediate skill level with Microsoft Office Suite; Word, Excel, and PowerPointAbility to learn and follow procedures while working safely in a manufacturing environmentHands-on approach to problem solving and analysisExcellent Analytical SkillsAbility and willingness to uphold the Carlex Values of Safety, Customer Focused, Teamwork, Excellence and TrustEqual Opportunity EmployerThis employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
