Position ResponsibilitiesPerforms nursing activities in the pre- and post-operative and post-anesthesia phases of the patient's surgical experienceAdmits and prepares patients for surgeryProvides ongoing information to the patient and their caregiver to ensure that they understand and feel as comfortable as possibleReceives patient in the recovery room after surgery; assesses and evaluates the patient; monitors the patient continuously throughout the recovery phaseProvides discharge instructions to the patient and their caregiverExercises safe judgment in decision-making and demonstrates tact and understanding when dealing with patients, team members, members of other disciplines, and the publicAssists in patient education during all phases of their experience at QCASCMaintains patient confidentiality and complies with all HIPAA rules and regulationsRequirementsHigh School Diploma or equivalent is requiredCurrent unrestricted Illinois RN licensure is required2+ years of nursing experience is preferredPrevious ASC and/or surgical care experience is preferredMust be flexible with hoursExcellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skillsAbility to effectively communicate and interact with patients, families, and staff from diverse backgroundsORA Orthopedics is the Quad Cities' largest and most comprehensive orthopedic provider, proudly offering an integrated continuum of orthopedic care that includes orthopedic sub-specialty clinics, walk-in care at our Urgent OrthoCARE clinics, diagnostic imaging, bracing, physical therapy, pharmacy, and outpatient surgery.
