Job Description: Industrial TechnicianPosition OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Industrial Technician to join our team. The Industrial Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of industrial equipment and systems. This role plays a vital part in ensuring production efficiency, safety compliance, and the reliability of machinery used in daily operations.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, maintain, and repair industrial machinery, mechanical systems, and electrical components.Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.Operate tools and diagnostic equipment to identify problems and ensure proper system functionality.Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.Document maintenance activities, repair work, and parts usage.Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and production teams to optimize equipment performance.Assist in training and mentoring junior technicians when needed.QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required; associate degree or technical certification in industrial maintenance, mechanics, or a related field preferred.Proven experience as an Industrial Technician, Maintenance Technician, or similar role.Strong knowledge of industrial equipment, electrical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.Ability to read and interpret schematics, diagrams, and technical documentation.Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic testing equipment.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various industrial environments.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.Preferred SkillsExperience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and automation systems.Welding, fabrication, or machining skills.OSHA or other safety training certifications.Work EnvironmentIndustrial setting with exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures.May require overtime, shift work, or on-call availability.
