*Job Description: Lead BIM Modeler* *Position Title:* Lead BIM Modeler *Department:* Drafting *Reports To:* Senior Drafting Coordinator / Drafting Manager *Job Summary:* The Lead BIM Modeler is responsible for producing detailed shop drawings for window modules, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project specifications. This role involves leading a team of BIM Modelers, providing direction and support, and collaborating with project teams to resolve design issues. The Lead BIM Modeler plays a crucial role in the transition from 2D AutoCAD to 3D Revit, assisting in training and maintaining high drafting standards. *Key Responsibilities:* * *Drawing Production:* Produce detailed shop drawings for window modules using Revit. * *Team Leadership:* Lead a team of BIM Modelers, providing direction, support, and mentorship to ensure high-quality output. * *Quality Assurance:* Review and verify the accuracy of drawings before submission to Senior Drafting Coordinators. * *Collaboration:* Collaborate with project teams to resolve design issues and incorporate feedback. * *Training Support:* Assist in training team members on 3D Revit and new drafting standards. * *Standards Compliance:* Ensure all drawings adhere to established drafting standards and procedures. *Qualifications:* * *Education:* Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Drafting, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field. * *Experience:* Minimum of 3 years of experience in drafting, with at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role. * *Technical Skills:* Proficiency in 2D AutoCAD and 3D Revit. Familiarity with BIM processes and standards. * *Soft Skills:* Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. *Preferred Qualifications:* * Experience in the glazing industry or related field. * Certification in BIM or Revit. * Experience with project management software.
