In support of this goal, this individual must be a strong finance leader who can effectively perform financial planning and analysis, assist in cost accounting functions as required and ensure all necessary financial controls are in place and followed. Key elements include a hands-on approach, leadership and overall business acumen. Experience in aviation MRO or a manufacturing finance environment is required. Prior experience in a public entity with a P & L of $50M+ is desirable.The position will assist the Business Manager and other leadership in the direction and delivery of results and improved performance, including providing leadership and direction to multiple site controllers across the United States.Key ResponsibilitiesPartner with the Business Manager and leadership team to deliver business results and performance objectivesDirect the preparation of the annual budget; contribute to the Strategic Plan; and lead month-end close, monthly reporting, and rolling quarterly forecast processesOwn the books of record for the business and ensure accuracy and integrity across all financial reportingProactively analyze operating results, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities, and provide actionable recommendationsPerform financial modeling and analysis including Discounted Cash Flow (DCF), ROI, Make/Buy decisions, gross margin analysis, and pricing for new business opportunities and capital investmentsProvide oversight of general accounting, cost accounting, accounts receivable/payable, and compliance activitiesEnsure the integrity of the General Ledger across all operating sitesEvaluate business performance and recommend policy improvements and operational enhancementsServe as a financial advisor to leadership and cross-functional teams within the business unitMaintain a strong internal control environment to safeguard assets and ensure accurate financial reportingEnsure compliance with GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX 404) requirementsDrive continuous improvement in working capital performanceDemonstrate expertise in GAAP, cost accounting, and revenue recognition standardsMonitor and enforce accounting policies and procedures across the organizationEducationBachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or Finance (required)CPA or CMA (preferred)MBA (preferred)Experience3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or MRO environmentStrong foundation in GAAP, SEC reporting, and Sarbanes-Oxley complianceBackground in manufacturing finance2–3 years of public accounting experience (preferred)Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing experience (preferred)QualificationsProven team player with strong communication, presentation, leadership, and interpersonal skillsDemonstrated problem-solving and organizational capabilitiesAbility to work independently while effectively collaborating across all levels of the organizationHands-on leadership style with the ability to balance tactical execution and strategic visionStrong business partnership skills within a matrix organizational structureAbility to perform under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines with accuracyExperience managing and developing staff, setting goals, and building high-performing teamsAmbitious, flexible, and growth-oriented mindsetProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and financial systems (Hyperion Enterprise, ERP systems such as Quantum preferred)Additional InformationThis role is ideal for an individual looking to grow with a successful and expanding organization, including potential future relocation opportunitiesTravel requirement: approximately 30% (domestic)Why AMETEK MRO?This is an opportunity to step into a high-impact leadership role within a growing global organization where your contributions will directly influence business performance.
