Certified Medical Technician (CMT)
Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Certified Medical Technician (CMT) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care across various settings, including assisted living, nursing homes, hospitals, and home care environments. This role requires a strong understanding of medical procedures, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining patient dignity and safety. The CMT will work closely with healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care tailored to individual needs, including those with developmental disabilities, dementia, Alzheimer’s, or requiring hospice support.
Duties
Administer medications and treatments following prescribed protocols while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Provide specialized care such as catheter care, tube feeding, and medication administration for patients with complex needs.
Support patients with activities of daily living including mobility assistance, hygiene, and personal care in various settings like senior care, memory care, or home environments.
Document all patient interactions and procedures meticulously in medical records to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.
Assist in caring for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer’s, or other cognitive impairments by implementing specialized memory and behavioral management techniques.
Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Maintain a safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols and safety standards at all times.
Support patients with disabilities or those requiring acute or hospice care through compassionate caregiving practices.
Experience
Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care settings is highly preferred.
Experience working with people with developmental disabilities or in dementia/memory care is advantageous.
Familiarity with medical documentation systems such as EMR/EHR platforms including Epic and Cerner is desirable.
Previous caregiving experience involving medication administration, tube feeding, or hospice care is a plus.
Candidates should possess strong communication skills and demonstrate professionalism in handling sensitive patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Pay: $16.00 per hour
