Mars Wrigley- Machine Operator- Night Shift- Hackettstown, NJStarting rate: $25+/hour (based on experience) and $2/hour shift premiumThis site manufactures chocolate and peanut M&MsShift: 3rd ShiftSchedule: 2-2-3 (rotating)Hours: 6:30 PM 7:00 AM (Night Shift)Machine Operators (Team Members) are experts in operating equipment, machinery, and systems within their assigned area. They are responsible for ensuring the efficient production of high-quality products, performing machine operations and changeovers, and supporting the training of other team members.Minimum Requirements:High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education1+ years of experience in a manufacturing environmentProficient in using computers and PC software, including Microsoft Office and emailPhysical Requirements:Can perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.Frequent lifting/carrying (10-50 lbs.) and pushing/pulling (50-300 lbs.)Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, handling, and gripping.Ability to work at elevated heights, climb stairs, lean over equipment, and operate in confined spaces.Ability to stand and work on feet for extended periods, with shifts lasting 12 hoursCapable of working in hot, cold and wet conditionsProficient in understanding, communicating, reading, and writing in English.This is a Peanut facilityPreferred Qualifications:Technical degree or certification2+ years of experience in a manufacturing setting operating a variety of machinesAbility to operate a forkliftOSHA certificationExperience with SAPKey Responsibilities:Assess and operate manufacturing equipment, performing routine repairs, adjustments, and troubleshooting as needed.Identify and resolve problems to their root cause, taking appropriate corrective actions.Collaborate with Maintenance to perform and complete equipment preventative maintenance (PM).Conduct and document quality control (QC) tasks, including metal checks, inspection of date codes, item numbers, dump logs, and waste performance.Maintain detailed and accurate logbooks, ensuring all shift support documentation is completed safely and in compliance with quality standards.Perform any additional ad hoc tasks as assigned.Total Rewards:Starting Pay: Based on experience starting at $25+/hourShift Differential: $2/hourAnnual Bonus and Merit IncreasesBenefits Starting Day One: Medical, Vision, and DentalUp to 6% 401(k) matchVacation timeTuition reimbursementShort/Long-Term Disability18 weeks parental leaveWork with over 130,000 like-minded and talented Associates, all guided by The Five Principles.Join a purpose driven company, where we're striving to build the world we want tomorrow, today.Best-in-class learning and development support from day one, including access to our in-house Mars University.An industry competitive salary and benefits package, including company bonusThe base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is between the range listed below, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
