Initiates and completes psychiatric placement, when needed, in EC and inpatient hospital units. Provides psychiatric case management, including finding psychiatric beds and obtaining authorization from managed care companies. Works in close collaboration with on-call psychiatrists, staff, and outside agencies and entities, as appropriate.RequiredWhat you will needHighest clinical license as Licensed Certified Social Worker - Clinical (LCSW-C), or Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC).Master of Social Work (MSW), or Masters' Degree in Counseling, Psychology, or related field.PreferredOne to three (1-3) years of relevant experience in health care mental health setting, preferably in hospital.Case management experience preferred (i.e. arranging for hospital transfers, discharge planning, and getting pre-certifications).About Us:Holy Cross Health is a Catholic, not-for-profit health system that serves more than 240,000 individuals each year from Maryland's two largest counties — Montgomery and Prince George's counties.
