This role is ideal for a technically strong engineer who enjoys hands‑on project involvement, mentoring staff, and working closely with municipalities and developers to deliver infrastructure that supports growing communities.The Senior Engineer will play a key role in project delivery, technical oversight, and client coordination, with opportunities to influence project direction and support the continued growth of water and land development practice.What You'll DoLead technical design, modeling, and analysis for engineering projectsPrepare and review engineering drawings, specifications, and reportsOversee field investigations, data collection, and construction oversightDevelop project scopes, budgets, and schedules in collaboration with project managersEnsure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and environmental regulationsMentor junior engineers and support team developmentParticipate in client meetings and contribute to proposal and business development effortsPrimarily office-based with regular field visitsMay involve travel to project sites and client meetingsFieldwork may include exposure to varying weather and terrain conditionsWhat You'll BringBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, or a related field8-12 years of industry experience with water resources and land development projectsPE license in CaliforniaPLS or GE certification is preferredAdvanced knowledge of engineering principles, modeling tools, and design software (CAD)Experience mentoring junior staff and guiding project teamsStrong written and verbal communication for technical documentation and client interactionAbility to manage complex projects, budgets, and timelinesAnalytical thinking and decision-making in both field and office settingsSalary RangeAt Verdantas, we offer comprehensive benefits packages for our employees. Actual salary is based on the circumstances of each position and candidate, such as geographic location, skills, and certifications. We recognize and reward exceptional performance and strive to ensure fair compensation across all roles and departments within the company.
