Kitchen Manager - Brixx Wood Fired Pizza
We're seeking an experienced Kitchen Manager to lead kitchen operations at Brixx Wood Fired Pizza + Craft Bar, a growing restaurant concept specializing in authentic wood-fired pizzas and craft beverages.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all kitchen operations including food prep, cooking, and presentation
Manage kitchen staff scheduling, training, and performance development
Ensure compliance with food safety standards and health regulations
Control food costs, inventory management, and waste reduction
Maintain labor efficiency and optimize sales per labor hour (SPLH)
Train staff on wood-fired oven operations and pizza preparation techniques
Coordinate with General Manager on menu execution and operational goals
Monitor equipment maintenance and kitchen functionality
Implement cost-control measures while maintaining quality standards
Required Qualifications:
3+ years kitchen management experience in high-volume restaurant
Pizza or Italian cuisine experience strongly preferred
Wood-fired oven experience a plus
Proven track record of labor cost management and efficient scheduling
ServSafe certification required
Experience with restaurant POS systems (Toast preferred)
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
