Team members contribute directly to advancing educational equity and long-term success for immigrant students and their families.Role Description The Development Coordinator is a full-time, hybrid role based in the Washington DC–Baltimore Area. This position supports the organization’s fundraising and development activities, including managing donor communications, coordinating events and campaigns, and maintaining accurate records in donor databases. The Development Coordinator will help prepare grant applications and fundraising materials, track deadlines, and support stewardship efforts to strengthen relationships with donors and partners. The role includes collaborating with program and communications staff, assisting with project timelines, and providing responsive support to donors, volunteers, and community stakeholders.QualificationsStrong Communication and Writing skills, with the ability to create clear, compelling materials for diverse audiences.Customer Service skills to provide responsive, respectful support to donors, partners, students, and families.Project Management skills to coordinate development activities, events, and campaigns, and to manage multiple deadlines.Fundraising experience or knowledge, including familiarity with donor stewardship, events, or grant support.Proficiency with office productivity tools and donor or CRM databases; strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Commitment to educational equity and supporting immigrant communities; ability to work collaboratively in a mission-driven environment.Prior experience in nonprofit development, communications, or administrative support is preferred.Associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
