Summer Food Program Open Positions1 - Meals on Wheels Cook - $13.50 per hourStarting Employment Date: June 1, 2026Ending Employment Date: July 31, 2026Posting Date: May 1, 2026 Application Deadline: May 15, 2026Duties & Responsibilities: Meals on Wheels Cook 10 hours per weekProvide excellent customer service to all program attendees.Responsible for prep, distribution and cleanup of hot meals.Responsible for packaging and distribution of packaged mealsResponsible for InventoryKnowledge of food service safety and sanitation requirementsAbility to lift, carry, pull, push boxes and/or containers weighing up to 50 poundsAll other duties assignedExtended Criminal Background Check RequiredBasic knowledge of food safety and sanitation required.Good Attendance RecordContinued staffing will be dependent upon participation.All selected individuals MUST attend a training session prior to employment on May 26, 2026.Hours will be as follows:Monday through Friday 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.All interested internal candidates should submit a Letter of Interest to Dee Orick, Food Service Director.Send All Application Materials ToDee Orick, Food Service Director at dorick@ncweb.me
