Our values and participant focus lead the way no matter what.The WelbeHealth Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) is an integral part of the IDT, collaborating with other members of the Rehabilitation team to implement care plans and provide direct care to participants. Under the direction of a Physical Therapist, the PTA provides restorative and rehabilitative physical therapy services to participants at the center and in their homes to maximize independence, safety, and to develop or restore function.This role is different because PTAs at WelbeHealth:Have lower patient volumes – no more seeing 3-4 patients an hourForm long-term relationships with participants rather than short-term rehab stintsCollaborate with other therapists, providers, and disciplinesHave work/life balance - no after hours of documentationWe care about our team members. That's why we offer:Medical insurance coverage (Medical, Dental, Vision)Work/life balance - We mean it! 17 days of personal time off (PTO), 12 holidays observed annually, and 6 sick days401K savings + matchComprehensive compensation package including base pay and bonusAnd additional benefits!On the day-to-day, you will:Administer participant treatment programs as established by the Physical TherapistAssist the Physical Therapist in obtaining vital signs, ranges of motion, and strength testingCoordinate with other members of the Rehabilitation team to implement activities and programs based on the participants' individual treatment plansHandle scheduling of participants' treatments, clinical visits, and billingDocument physical therapy interventions in accordance with established care plans including but not limited to active and passive exercise, muscle re-education, gait, functional training of ADLs, and treatments (e.g., massage, heat, sound, water, light, or electricity)Job requirements include:PTA associate's degree from an accredited programValid PTA license, or proof of license eligibilityMinimum of two (2) years of PTA experience in a clinical setting with a frail or elderly populationPTA knowledge necessary to treat frail, elderly participants with complex needsWe are seeking PTAs that ideally have outpatient, acute, inpatient, or skilled nursing experience.
