Job Title: Licensed Operator Simulator InstructorLocation: Waynesboro, GA (Plant Vogtle)Duration: Contract assignment, up to 12 monthsPer Diem: $160 dailyNo C2C Inquiries!Position Overview:We are seeking an experienced Licensed Operator Simulator Instructor to support nuclear operations training at Plant Vogtle. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality simulator-based instruction, developing and validating training materials, and ensuring that operator training programs comply with industry and regulatory standards.Key Responsibilities:Conduct simulator-based training sessions for licensed operator candidates.Evaluate operator performance and provide coaching to ensure knowledge, skill, and safety standards are met.Develop, maintain, and update simulator exercise guides, lesson plans, and exam materials.Validate and test simulator scenarios for accuracy, realism, and training effectiveness.Ensure training programs comply with NRC, INPO, and site-specific standards.Support exam development in alignment with NUREG-1021 and accredited training requirements.Collaborate with operations and training leadership to continuously improve operator training programs.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Engineering or related field OR a current/previous Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) license/certification.10+ years of experience in nuclear power plant operations, training, or simulator instruction.Demonstrated experience in licensed operator training (initial or continuing training programs).Strong background in simulator training, procedure development, and NRC exam preparation.AP1000 plant experience is highly desired.Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to mentor operators and foster a strong safety culture.Additional Information:Contract role with daily per diem provided.Opportunity to contribute to the success and safety of one of the most advanced nuclear facilities in the United States.
