Software Developer Space Systems & Advanced Technology Development

Brooksource is seeking Software Developers to support an innovative engineering organization developing next-generation technologies across aerospace, advanced manufacturing, medical devices, and other highly technical industries. This team is expanding rapidly due to new project awards and is looking for developers who are passionate about solving complex technical challenges in a fast-paced R&D environment. This opportunity offers the chance to work on impactful programs ranging from space and payload technologies to cutting-edge commercial applications. Engineers will initially focus on C#/.NET development while gaining exposure to embedded systems and firmware development as projects evolve.
What You'll Do:
- Design, develop, test, and maintain desktop, web-based, and software applications
- Build user interfaces and operational software using C# and .NET technologies
- Develop real-time data handling solutions and mission-support applications
- Support software validation, testing, debugging, and deployment activities
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to develop highly reliable systems
- Create technical documentation, test procedures, and validation plans
- Participate in prototyping, integration, and troubleshooting efforts
- Review and improve code quality through peer collaboration and best practices
- Contribute to diverse projects across aerospace, medical technology, and industrial applications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
- Professional experience developing software using C# and .NETExperience with Visual Studio and modern development tools
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with WinForms, WPF, or desktop application development
- Exposure to embedded systems or firmware development
- Experience with C, C++, Python, MATLAB, or Rust
- Familiarity with hardware integration or real-time systems
- Experience with test-driven development (TDD)
- Experience working in engineering, R&D, robotics, aerospace, automation, medical device, or manufacturing environments
