Materials TechMemorial Hermann Surgery Center Woodlands Parkway is seeking a motivated Materials Tech to join our team. We have 4 OR rooms and 1 treatment room. We perform outpatient surgical procedures in Orthopedics, Neurology, ENT, Pain Management, Podiatry, Plastic Surgery. Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Some early mornings and later evenings may be required; schedule subject to change based on surgical schedule and flow of the day.The Materials Technician is responsible for the procurement of all supplies. The responsibility of the position includes ordering and receiving of supplies, stocking supplies and assisting Accounts Payable with invoice packets. We are looking for a highly motivated, energetic person.Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:Prepare appropriate documentation for product returns to vendorsTransfers products between departmentsReceives purchase ordersReceives products into Materials Management Information SystemStocks storeroom and readies stock for distributionVerifies and documents all deliveries of supplies, equipment and various goods to the hospitalMaintains log of departments receiving goodsQualifications:High school graduate or equivalent requiredTwo years minimum receiving and inventory experience; in a health care environment preferred.Strong Customer Service BackgroundStrong math and counting skills requiredType minimum of 40 wpm preferredComputer experience required (Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word and Excel preferred)Must possess the ability to prioritize responsibilities and handle multiple projects simultaneouslyAbility to lift up to 50 pounds unassistedAt USPI, we create relationships that create better care.
