With engineers employed in nearly every major department, engineering is in our DNA.Banner is a rapidly growing company that offers many personal development opportunities, an excellent benefits package, and a collaborative team of employees who are passionate about what they do.Pay And BenefitsBanner Engineering is committed to offering competitive pay and benefits, including, but not limited to:401(k) with matchStudent Loan 401(k) match programMedical, Dental, and Vision Insurance PlansHSA (Health Savings Account) with company contributionPaid Time Off (PTO)Sales and Profit Sharing EligibilityFlexible work hoursLife InsurancePaid Parental LeavePet InsuranceBase Pay Range: $22.21 - $30.54Please note some career sites assign estimated compensation ranges that may not accurately reflect what is offered by Banner Engineering.Position SummaryThe RMA Electronics Technician diagnoses and repairs sensors returned on RMAs, updates firmware and hardware on sensors, performs routine servicing and inspection on sensors, helps maintain and organize equipment, and gives direction to the materials handlers in the RMA area.This position reports to Quality Control Inspection Manager.According to the FLSA (Fair Labor Standards Act), this position is classified as:Non-ExemptWhat You’ll Be Doing Inspects finished goods returned on new product RMAs and upgrades hardware/firmware to get items ready to return to stockDiagnoses and repairs complex electronic problems for sensors returned on RMAsUses a combination of electronic schematics and Engineering resources to discover the root cause of failures in electronic circuitsUses well rounded knowledge in the use of multimeters, oscilloscopes, and function generators to document problems on sensors that are returned on RMAUses multiple software programs to aid in the analysis of sensor operation and repairPerforms special functional tests to ensure returned products are operating to specificationGive recommendations on warranty coverage using results of analysisCommunicates with the Customer Service Team to get complete information on why a sensor was returned on an RMA to ensure that it’s fixed right the first timeWrites Failure Analysis Reports for the Engineering TeamsAssists the RMA coordinator with checking in new RMAs, issuing credit, and shipping items back to customersWhat You Bring To The Table To perform this job successfully, you must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, and regular attendance is required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to support individuals with disabilities.RequiredAssociate’s Degree in Electronics or Engineering related fieldSignificant technical experience in a quality role that involved failure analysisAbility to interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics to determine the basic function of an electronic circuitGood knowledge of the operation of basic electronic components; such as diodes, transistors, FETs, resistors, capacitors, inductors, transformers, and ICsGood knowledge of how to operate basic electronic testing devices; such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, function generators, and power suppliesAbility to work under pressure for throughput while maintaining quality standardsGeneral proficiency with Microsoft Word and ExcelStrong attention to detail and strong analytical skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsWhat To Expect At WorkPhysical DemandsThe physical demands described here must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
