In partnership with retail locations, tourist attractions and destinations across North America, Cherry Hill Programs contributes millions of holiday and souvenir experiences for children and families, year after year.As District Manager (DM), you will create the magic by overseeing multiple locations within a designated geographic area as a seasonal team leader. This includes being responsible for vendor relations, employee relations, staffing, scheduling and learning and development.Our District Manager Will AlsoPromote a positive, collaborative environment and maintain our core values and policiesCommunicate and partner with Regional Manager consistently to drive alignment and overall strategy for designated locations; e.g., establish opening dates, hours of operation, special events and concerns/issuesPrepare each location for a timely opening with completion of hiring, inventories, equipment setup/testing, staff scheduling/staff training and bank deposit proceduresDetermine district-wide staffing requirements and ensure hiring/onboarding standards are being metRecruit and train qualified Local Managers for each location, assisting each with hiring, onboarding, training, and employee relations as neededManage and support each Local Manager and team; help Local Managers apply upselling techniques to meet/surpass sales goals, oversee inventory/supplies, and assist with staff hiring/terminationsDevelop district strategies and implementation plans to support regional and company initiatives to drive business results and achieve operation excellenceEstablish and maintain positive and successful vendor relations with staff at all locationsPartner with each mall manager to support a seamless, efficient operation with a focus on guest service and profitabilityConduct site visits regularly, analyze sales activity and reports, and submit weekly audits to identify trends/opportunities and implement plans to drive a successful operation Participate in weekly team conference calls with Regional ManagerRespond to all business calls or emails within a timely mannerOversee budgeted staff hours, scheduling, timecards and verify daily bank deposits with Local Managers to ensure accurate weekly reporting on our supportive softwareEnsure scheduled season-end breakdown at each location; securing all equipment and preparing a post-season synopsisOther duties required/assigned as detailed in Employment AgreementWhat We’re Looking ForPositive attitude and strong work ethicTeam player who can work independently and understands the importance of leadershipExcellent time management and problem-solving skills as well as the ability to use good judgment and make strong, independent decisionsProfessional attire and good hygiene are a mustAvailable to attend mandatory pre-season trainingFlexibility and willingness to work during “peak” retail hours, such as evenings, weekends, and holidaysAbility to travel including overnights, if requiredAvailable to work a minimum of 40 hours a week or as neededKnowledge, Experience & SkillAt least 18 years of ageHigh School Diploma plus 4 years equivalent work experiencePrior proven success managing multiple locations in the retail/service industryProficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint with daily access to the internet (laptop provided)Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 10-25 pounds and stand for prolonged periods of timeTraining Included in Onboarding (Previous Experience Will Be an Advantage)Reading, analyzing, and interpreting general business formsComposing business correspondence and reportsEffectively presenting information, responding to Marketing Directors/Local Managers/Staff and customer concernsBuilding on excellent customer service and communication skillsSolid recruiting and hiring abilitiesBuilding, managing, motivating, and leading a teamTime management, prioritization, and effective problem solvingOperating camera, POS, and other equipmentWhat Else Can You ExpectA fun, fast paced, and passionate environmentCareer advancement opportunitiesReferral programOne free photo package for friends and family per staff memberMust be used 2 weeks before the close of each seasonWe Work Together to Win TogetherOur mission is simple: to bring magic to every experience by capturing moments that last a lifetime.
